(NewsNation) —  Voters in Wisconsin have the chance to make their voices heard in a closely watched Senate race that could directly impact the balance of power in the chamber.

Presidential race in Wisconsin

Former President Donald Trump is projected to win Wisconsin.

US Senate race in Wisconsin

Incumbent Sen. Tammy Baldwin is projected to defeat Republican challenger Eric Hovde in a race The Cook Political Report recently declared a “toss-up.”

Thomas Leager of the America First Party and Phil Anderson from the Disrupt the Corruption Party are also in the running for the seat.

Baldwin’s seven-point lead over Baldwin in August had shrunk to two points in the weeks leading up to the election.

Still, Democrats are confident Baldwin will hold onto her seat — and have spent a considerable amount to do so. According to The Associated Press, Baldwin’s campaign accounts for more than a third of all Democratic spending on ads, and Hovde has been more dependent on outside groups.

It’s a critical race for Democrats — they are defending 23 seats in the Senate, while Republicans just need to hold onto 11.

US House race in Wisconsin

Eight House seats are up for grabs in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin’s only open-seat race is in the 8th District after Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher resigned in May. Businessman Tony Wied came out on top after a heated GOP primary, snagging a Trump endorsement in the process. Wied is running against Democrat and Ob/Gyn Kristin Lyerly.

In a race that has drawn national attention, incumbent and former Navy Seal Derrick Van Orden defeated Democratic challenger and business owner Rebecca Cooke for the 3rd District House seat.

Statewide ballot measures in Wisconsin

Five statewide measures were on Wisconsin’s 2024 ballot.

Voters approved a measure that would stop those who aren’t U.S. citizens from voting, NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ projects.

Noncitizens are already prohibited from voting in federal or statewide races in Wisconsin. However, supporters of the proposed amendment have said they want to prevent noncitizens from voting in city council or school board races, Votebeat Wisconsin reports.

However, experts have said this isn’t something that is happening on a large scale and point out there are serious consequences if noncitizens attempt to vote.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
