Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is projected to win the Vermont Republican primary in a surprise upset against former President Trump, according to Decision Desk HQ.
The victory delivers Haley her biggest win since the start of the GOP primary season. Until Tuesday, the only GOP nominating contest she won was in Washington, D.C.
Seventeen delegates are up for grabs on the Republican side in Vermont.
Meanwhile, Biden was projected to win the Vermont Democratic primary; Democrats are expected to dominate the state this fall given that Biden beat Trump in 2020 there by more than 35 points.
