(NewsNation) — Ahead of Thursday’s presidential debate, former President Donald Trump has suggested his opponent, incumbent President Joe Biden, take a drug test.

“DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!” he posted to Truth Social on Monday.

Biden performing with the assistance of drugs is rhetoric he spread after the 2024 State of the Union Address and again at a Philadelphia rally earlier this week.

“I say he’ll come out all jacked up, right? All jacked up,” Trump said Saturday.

Republican congresspeople have long echoed this sentiment. In a Monday interview with Fox Business, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, said her party expects Biden “will be on something” during the debate.

It’s the latest in the Trump campaign’s attempts to portray the sitting president as incompetent and confused due to his age.
