(NewsNation) — Bill O’Reilly believes President Donald Trump’s role in securing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas has increased his power across the globe, and it could have a bearing on the United States’ dealings with China.

Sunday marked 737 days since the hostages were taken, and all 20 hostages remaining alive were released Monday. The release of the hostages was made possible by that ceasefire, which was brokered by the Trump administration

The deal faced challenges on both Hamas’ side and the Israeli side, with Trump at times publicly talking about his frustration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Donald Trump’s power worldwide has just increased by about 1,000%,” O’Reilly told “On Balance.”

“He’s going to Korea to talk to Xi. Xi (Jinping) and the Chinese know that he has the Arab world and the Middle East on his side. China needs the Middle East, even though they’re temporarily buying oil from Russia, OK? And Iran, they need the Middle East. They can’t afford to alienate the Arab nations. Trump’s going in with a big advantage.”

According to Reuters, a meeting between Xi and Trump is set to occur in late October in South Korea, and comes following the president’s threat of 100% tariffs on China.
