(NewsNation) — Two-term New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio says Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist who won his party’s mayoral primary Tuesday, successfully ran on the type of kitchen-table issues other Democrats have ignored. “He was not a culture warrior. He was actually focused overwhelmingly on affordability, and people heard it,” De Blasio tells “On Balance.”
