(NewsNation) — Bill O’Reilly believes the possible cover-up of former President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis is a “big, big scandal.”

O’Reilly joined “On Balance” to discuss Biden’s diagnosis, which became public Sunday, and surprised many given the severity of the cancer.

“If there was a massive cover-up, then people [should be] prosecuted and go to prison. This is what the American people deserve,” O’Reilly said.

O’Reilly told “On Balance” that Biden’s White House physician, Colonel Kevin O’Connor, must be called in front of a congressional committee under oath to determine if he covered up the president’s cancer diagnosis and cognitive decline.

“Questions like that have to be answered,” O’Reilly said.

“… Coupled with the decline in mental acuity, remember, O’Connor had signed off, and said, ‘He’s fine, yeah, he’s vibrant, he’s this, he’s that.’ You got a big, big scandal here.”

O’Reilly suggested the congressional committee start with O’Connor and then interview former first lady Dr. Jill Biden. He added that such a cover-up is a threat to democracy.

“If Dr. O’Connor submitted a false medical report for the president of the United States, then he goes to prison. And if Jill Biden knew, you can’t send her to prison… [but] what you can do is punish the people who lied to the American people. They have to be punished.”
