According to Tuesday’s filing, the Department of Justice opposes the controversial border policy but asks to give lawmakers more time to come to a different resolution before ending it.

With the uncertainty of Title 42 in mind, San Luis, Arizona, has declared a local state of emergency due to the border crisis overwhelming their resources.
