(NewsNation) — Police in Massachusetts say they have located a car potentially linked to a woman who went missing last week.

Joanna Brown was last seen leaving work at the Bean Counter Bakery Cafe at 9 a.m. Halloween.

Worcester police said Monday they spotted a vehicle a 2025 gray Mitsubishi Outlander with license plate number 5GPN93 at the Green Hill Towers apartment complex. Some residents noted the car matched the vehicle description in connection with the case.

Police say Brown may have been driving the vehicle.

“She left her shift, talking to her supervisor, saying that she had a personal thing that she needed to take care of,” said Worcester Police Officer Elise Miranda.

Brown has not shown up for work nor contacted family or friends, according to police.

“We miss her terribly,” added Bean Counter owner Alice Lombardi. “We’re just … asking anyone who knows where she might be or anything, please contact the Worcester Police Department.”

The vehicle was towed away from the scene, authorities said.
