MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man has been arrested in Dyer County after missing juveniles were found staying in his house, authorities say.
Brendon Puckett is charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Puckett is on probation for sexual battery involving a minor, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office said two missing children from Crockett County, Tennessee were found in Puckett’s house on Monday, following an investigation by county authorities.
The two had been staying in Puckett’s house for “a couple of weeks,” authorities said.
Tuesday, Sheriff Jeff Box announced that while serving warrants at Puckett’s house, a third juvenile was found and released to his mother in Arkansas.
The case remains active, and Box said more charges against Puckett could be coming.
The sheriff’s office said their investigation began Monday after they received a tip about the missing Tennessee children. Box said they were confirmed missing through the National Crime Information Center.
“The safety and well-being of our children is our top priority and I am proud of my team. We are committed to protecting young people in our community, and these charges reflect our ongoing efforts to hold individuals accountable for their actions,” Box said in a statement.
