(NewsNation) — A missing Michigan woman was found thanks to drone footage days after she became lost going home from a casino.

Mason County deputies responded to a report of a burned vehicle that matched the description of the missing woman’s car Sunday.

A search was launched, and searchers using drones found the woman roughly 150 yards from her vehicle in a heavily wooded area, where she was lying next to a downed tree. She was alive and talking to deputies.

The 74-year-old woman left the Little River Casino on Thursday and became lost, ending up on the long driveway of a seasonal home in the area.

Her vehicle was disabled and caught fire while she was attempting to turn around. She escaped the car but left her cell phone inside.

While attempting to return to retrieve her phone, she said she became lost. She was seen leaving the vehicle on a trail camera, which showed she did not return.

The woman used the downed tree for shelter when it rained Thursday night and became cold enough that she was unable to get to her feet on Friday. She stayed next to the tree until she was found on Sunday evening.
