CHICAGO — The vehicle of a missing Chicago Public Schools teacher has been found.
According to family members, Linda Brown’s 2021 blue Honda Civic with the Illinois license plate No. CX57470 has been located. Family and police have not said where the car was found.
Family told NewsNation affiliate WGN on Thursday that CPD informed them there is video of her walking away from the vehicle.
Chicago police say 53-year-old Brown was last seen Saturday, Jan. 3, in the area of the 4500 block of South Dr Martin Luther King Jr Drive in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

A missing persons flyer shared by the Chicago Teachers Union says Brown was headed to Wicker Park for an appointment, but never arrived.
Police believe she may need medical attention.
Brown is described as about 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.
Friends and family members say Brown teaches special education at Robert Healy Elementary School.
Family members shared that she had been experiencing mental health challenges and was actively receiving support. Still, they don’t believe she would intentionally disappear, nor would she miss school, given that students who rely on her would miss out.
“This is so out of her character to be missing,” said Lisa Quintana, Brown’s sister.
Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts should contact Area One SVU detectives at (312) 747-8380.
