(NewsNation) — A Daytona Beach, Florida, woman has been missing for three months, and her daughter is looking for answers days before Christmas.
Sharon Marie Cleaveland, 57, was last seen Sept. 18, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
Her daughter, Noel Foraker, told NBC affiliate WESH that police left her in the dark about the case, but she has received an apology from the department.
“I did appreciate the apology. I am still like upset that three months went by,” said Foraker, who lives in Michigan and said she spoke to her mother two days before she went missing.
Now, she’s doing what she can to locate her mother, who she describes affectionately as the “cat lady.” Cleaveland takes daily medication and never travels alone, Foraker said.
Cleaveland’s car was last seen at a Walmart on Sept. 19 on Polynesian Isle Boulevard.
“I just really want the community to help me to find answers to bring her home,” said Foraker to WESH. “I just can’t get over it’s been three months, and she hasn’t come home, and somebody knows something.”
Cleaveland is a white female, is 5’7 and weighs 100 pounds. Anyone who has information can contact detectives at 386-671-5249.
