14-year-old missing from Aurora found safe, police say

DENVER (KDVR) — A 14-year-old girl is still missing a week after she was last seen by her family in Aurora.

The Aurora Police Department said that 14-year-old left her house on Sunday, June 15, around 8:45 p.m. She has not returned home, and police first posted about her missing status on Thursday, June 19.

On Monday, her family said they were offering a $5,000 reward for information that could help bring her home. Law enforcement is also partnering with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to find her, and issued a nationwide advisory on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website.

On June 20, at about 9:30 p.m., police posted an update, reporting that she was still missing and that the agency was “even more concerned for her safety.”

On Friday, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Missing Alert for her. Anyone with information about her whereabouts or anyone who may have seen her is asked to call 303-627-3100 or 911.
