HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The parents of a Alabama man reported missing New Year’s Day are asking the public for help finding him.
Dezman Hereford, 21, was last seen in security footage from New Year’s Eve getting into a white SUV in front of his home in the Winchester-Moores Mill area of Huntsville. His father, Kendricks Hereford, said he didn’t say anything about leaving. He said this behavior was uncharacteristic of Dezman.
“He ain’t never been in trouble, he’s a good kid,” Kendricks said. “[We] just don’t know where to begin, where to start looking.”
Marlena Kelly said her son was active online, but his phone activity stopped after he went missing. She and Kendricks filed a missing person report with Huntsville Police and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
“I don’t want to speculate, you know, why he would leave and not say anything, or go missing and not say anything to anyone,” Kelly said. “I don’t want to speculate because I start to imagine the worst.”
Dezman moved from Dallas, TX, to Huntsville to live with his father two months ago. Marlena said that he hasn’t made many friends and mainly keeps to himself. She said Dezman is 6-feet-tall, wears his hair in locks, and often wears hooded sweatshirts.
Marlena and Kendricks are asking the public to reach out to them with any information about Dezman’s whereabouts. Marlena’s phone number is: (256) 529-1363 and Kendricks’s phone number is (256) 520-6654.
