(NewsNation) — The family of Amy Bradley, the 23-year-old Virginia woman who vanished during a Caribbean cruise with her family in 1998, believes she was abducted and is still alive, her brother tells “Banfield.”

“We believe she was targeted, we believe she was taken, and we believe she was removed from the ship,” Brad Bradley said Thursday.

A new Netflix docuseries, “Amy Bradley is Missing,” has reopened the nearly 30-year-old case.

Amy Bradley vanished aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas on March 24, 1998, as she and her family sailed to Curacao. She was last seen on the balcony of the family’s cabin early in the morning, leading to speculation the woman may have fallen overboard. Another theory — held by her brother — is that she became a victim of trafficking.

Questions persist for Amy Bradley brother

He shared puzzling anecdotes with “Banfield,” such as the disappearance of photographs of his sister from a formal ship event. Also, he said, two men asked him questions about the timeline of Amy’s disappearance, which he later realized could have been them trying to line up their own stories.

Brad Bradley recently told TMZ that several tips have come in since the Netflix program began streaming. On Thursday, he said there are “credible leads” but declined to elaborate.

The Netflix documentary features interviews with people who say they’ve seen Amy Bradley, alive. Her family doesn’t think she’s dead.

“It’s just a gut feeling,” Brad Bradley said. “My parents and I have shared the same feeling ever since Day 1. … I don’t know how to explain that to people or make it make sense to everybody.”

FBI still searching for Amy Bradley

Bradley was legally declared dead in 2010. The FBI investigation into her disappearance remains open, with a $25,000 reward offered for information leading to her recovery.
