(NewsNation) — President Trump’s MRI results were released by the White House, leaving many wondering about the benefits of preventative MRIs for elderly people.

According to Tesla MRI, such preventative scans offer several advantages for seniors dealing with multiple health issues at once.

Other than being able to examine a variety of body systems in one session, MRI scans can help detect the following:

-Early signs of cancer in various organs
-Bone and joint issues that might indicate osteoporosis or arthritis
-Brain changes that could signal neurological conditions
-Muscle and tissue problems that might affect movement

“A major benefit for older adults is that MRI technology doesn’t use radiation, making it safer for regular check-ups compared to CT scans or X-rays,” Tesla MRI said.

Getting scanned isn’t just for seniors with existing health conditions; it also benefits those endeavoring to engage more with their health.

“Scans for preventive purposes enable hidden diseases and abnormalities to be caught early before developing into serious health conditions,” Dr. Catherine Kennedy said.
