CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s not unusual to see a duck at a park, but the one that’s made its home at Clearwater’s Coachman Park is getting a lot of attention. It’s no ordinary duck; it’s the largest duck in the world.

“It’s bigger than I expected,” said Eddy Luiso, also known as “Everywhere Eddy.”

“Mama Duck” of course brought out the Jeeps. As soon as Luiso heard about it, he drove his decked-out dashboard of ducks to the park, showing off his collection of nearly 400 rubber ducks.

“This is my Ozzy Osborn Duck, the Prince of Duckness,” Luiso said. “I know a lot of people think it’s stupid or whatever, but every time someone leaves a duck right down here and I come out and I see it, I’m excited.”

Mama Duck sits at 61 feet tall, 64 feet wide, and holds 133,000 cubic feet of air.

“We just love the duck… its huge,” said bystanders.

“Came by and I thought I was at the Macy’s Parade. I think they stole one of their balloons,” said another man walking by.

But there was no stealing here. Get a load of the price tag.

“So to reserve her, it was around $90,000. So we have had an amazing sponsorship program, like Clearwater Gas Systems, Downtown Development Board, Spa Manufacturers and several others who have contributed to help bring this event to life,” said Jewel Smith, the program supervisor with special events for the City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation. “Take a look at her. She’s cute. She’s fun. I’ll be honest, it’s brought a lot of buzz down here, a lot of smiles, a lot of happiness, a lot of joy.”

And the joy was quacking out at the park.
