(NewsNation) — A Kentucky teacher has taken the nurturing of his students to greater heights than most.

Justin Padgett, a Danville, Kentucky native adopted Jayden — a fifth-grade student of Padgett’s — and his three siblings.

It came after Jayden had typed “I have to be adopted” on his school computer, according to Fox News. Jayden then explained to Padgett that his birth parents had lost their rights and his current foster parents could not adopt them.

“He was nice to me, and he always helps me,” Jayden, said to Fox News. “He was a really loving person, so I just wanted him to love me and my family.”

After trying for a family of their own, Padgett and his wife, Kasey, decided God had a different plan for them.

“Our lives are complete,” Padgett told the outlet. “We have left it all up to God to put us where we need to be at the right time. I feel fulfilled.”

By July 2021, the Padgetts went from a couple to a family of six. They officially became the legal guardians by March of 2022.

Despite their full hearts and big family, Justin and Kasey may not be finished just yet.

“The doors are open for whatever God has for us,” Kasey said.
