DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — An Ohio woman traveled three counties away from her senior living community on Wednesday to live out her lifelong dream of skydiving.

Nancy Lykins, 83, resides at StoryPoint Senior Living in Troy, and has always dreamed of becoming a skydiver. During a community event, she shared that wish with other StoryPoint residents and employees, who were also sharing items on their bucket lists.

On April 9, StoryPoint’s Dream Big initiative granted Lykins her wish.

“I’m so excited someone wanted to make this happen,” Lykins said.

Lykins and some of her friends traveled from Troy to Liberty Township to iFly Indoor Skydiving – Cincinnati.

After the event, StoryPoint shared photos on social media of Lykins participating during the event. Commenters left heartfelt remarks for the Troy woman.

“It was fun watching Nancy flying with these skydivers. What’s Nancy going to do next? You GO GIRL,” said one person.

“I’m so glad she went on this adventure!!! Her smile says it all,” said another user.
