(NewsNation) — Has Zayn Malik decided to reunite with the band that made him a household name after a decade? Well, One Direction fans seem to think so.
An update on Companies House, the U.K. business registry, shows Zayn’s address on the band’s corporate identity, PPM Music Limited, was changed to a U.S. address earlier this month, according to Complex.
According to the Sun, which was first to report the news, the “Pillowtalk” singer was appointed as a director of the company.
“This is a huge moment,” a source reportedly told the Sun. “While heartbreaking, Liam’s passing has brought them together, it’s even more sad he was the biggest cheerleader of a reunion.”
No indication of 1D return
Despite reports, there is no indication that the business update signals a band reunion.
Zayn infamously left the band in 2015 to pursue a solo career. Following his exit, the other members of 1D— Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne — left to pursue their solo careers.
One Direction reconnects after Liam Payne’s death
After Payne’s sudden death in October 2024 outside a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Styles, Horan and Tomlinson have reportedly reconnected.

“Since Liam’s passing, the boys have been in contact, a source told The Sun.
One Direction fans are excited over rumors
Whether there’s a One Direction reunion or not, fans are excited at the possibility of the band reuniting.
“ZAYN REJOINED IN ONE DIRECTION??!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!” a fan tweeted.
“Waking up on a random Thursday to the news that Zayn Malik has officially rejoined One Direction is so… nobody speak to me,” another said.
