(NewsNation) — YouTube TV is now offering a $20 credit to subscribers after cutting off access to Disney-owned channels at the end of last month.

YouTube TV viewers were left dissatisfied after Disney-owned channels, including ESPN and ABC, were removed from the platform Oct. 30 due to the companies’ ongoing failure to reach a new contractual agreement.

“We know it’s been disappointing to lose Disney content, and we want you to know we deeply appreciate your patience. In light of the disruption, we’re offering our subscribers a $20 credit,” YouTube TV wrote in an email to subscribers Nov. 9.

How to redeem the credit

The credit isn’t automatically applied to accounts and must be claimed manually. According to USA Today, to redeem the credit:

  1. Go to tv.youtube.com on a web browser and sign in.
  2. Select your profile picture.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the left menu, select Updates.
  5. Select Claim credit.

It’s important to note that the credit is only accessible from YouTube TV’s website, not the mobile app. Additionally, the credit only applies to next month’s payment, not the current one.
