Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes’ new steakhouse gives first look at menu

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ahead of its grand opening next week, 1587 Prime has released a sneak peek of its food and cocktail menu, as well as its finished dining room.

The highly anticipated, contemporary steakhouse is scheduled to open on Sept. 17. It was created in partnership with NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and is described as a top-shelf dining experience for the city.

“With 1587 Prime, we didn’t just set out to create another steakhouse,” said Tosh Berman, co-founder of Noble 33, an international hospitality group known for its award-winning restaurants. “We worked with Patrick and Travis to capture the essence of Kansas City – its pride, its hospitality and its passion for great food – while staying true to Noble 33’s brand vision and design aesthetic.”

Berman, alongside co-founder Mikey Tanha, says the restaurant will be “one-of-a-kind,” adding that its immersive design was brought to life by The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry and its in-house design team.

According to Noble 33, the restaurant draws inspiration from America’s favorite pastime, but offers a modern and artistic flair. For example, diners can expect a grand entry through a narrow tunnel, emulating the Chiefs’ long walk into Arrowhead Stadium.

Then, after entering the concierge area, guests will see a two-story steakhouse, featuring large displays of premium, dry-aged cuts, a central stage with live music, a large bar, intimate banquettes, a sweeping staircase and large spaces for semi-private and private dining.

Additionally, tables will be positioned for a view of the open kitchen, giving diners a behind-the-scenes look at the culinary artists creating their meals.

1587 Prime menu was created by Executive Chef Ryan Arnold

The restaurant itself will be able to seat 238 people, and according to Noble 33, it will be just as unforgettable as the menu.

The menu, which will offer a curated range of elevated steakhouse classics, like a Japanese A5 NY Strip, a Boneless Ribeye and a 40 oz Wagyu Tomahawk, was created by Executive Chef Ryan Arnold.

His creations will be accompanied by an assortment of compound butters and sauces, with the option for lobster tail, crab, bone marrow, and blue cheese on top. Additional menu highlights include:

1587 Prime to feature Michelin-grade cocktails

Additionally, to add to the culinary experience, 1587-goers can expect Michelin-grade cocktails from Noble 33 Beverage Director Juan Carlos Santana.

At the center of the cocktail menu will be a martini cart, Noble 33 adds, with the option of enjoying the drink the restaurant’s way – Ketel One, Bombay Sapphire, Italicus, roasted fennel and fino sherry – or the guest’s way, with a selection of liquors, vermouth or brine, mixers and accoutrements.

In addition to an expansive wine and beer selection, cocktail highlights include:

As part of Noble 33’s mission to spotlight local purveyors and artisans, 1587 Prime has partnered with a number of Missouri- and Kansas-based brands, including Scavuzzo’s, Shatto Milk Company, Betty Rae’s, McLain’s Bakery, Farm to Market Bread Co., Messenger Coffee, Kansas City distilleries (J. Rieger & Co., Holladay, and Tom’s Town) and Kansas City breweries (Boulevard Brewing Co. and KC Bier Company).
