(NewsNation) — Teyana Taylor has been ordered to pay her ex-husband $70,000 after being held in contempt.

Taylor and Iman Shumpert appeared in court last month over who violated the terms of their 2024 divorce agreement, according to Us Weekly.

The judge presiding over the case ruled that Taylor had ignored the agreement that stipulated they wouldn’t reveal any information on the judgment when she posted an Instagram video in March talking about the divorce.

Taylor alleged that Shumpert had leaked information about the judgment, but the judge said that she did not “present sufficient evidence” to support the claim, Us Weekly reports.

The singer and actor secretly filed for divorce from the former NBA star in January 2023, accusing him of being a narcissist who was jealous of her career, according to TMZ.

Taylor may have responded to the ruling in an Instagram video posted Friday, teasing her upcoming album “Escape Room,” writing in part, “Truth & peace > everything. If 10 toes on it costs me… Consider it paid in full.”
