(NewsNation) — Taylor Swift is going back to basics.

After being dragged into the “It Ends With Us” legal mess by her former BFF, Blake Lively, Swift is done with the drama and surrounding herself with familiar faces she not only trusts but knows won’t get their mess on her.

In just the last week, Swift celebrated buying back her masters with Selena Gomez at the Monkey Bar in midtown and also hung out with recently single Dakota Johnson— who had just broken up with Coldplay front man Chris Martin — as well as supermodel Gigi Hadid.

Notably, all three of these women took a step back from Swift while she was besties with Lively.

”Blake wanted to be Taylor’s number one friend,” a source said, adding, “The other women aren’t that close or comfortable with (Lively).”

It must have killed Lively, who lives blocks from Swift in Tribeca, not to have been invited — and reports now say Swift has blocked her and isn’t answering the many texts and calls Lively has tried to put through. 

Swift — who had been open to giving Lively a second chance — had made amends with her former BFF …until it was made public that Lively had reportedly been “blackmailing” her.

Bryan Freedman, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer in the “It Ends With Us” legal battle, shocked everyone when he wrote a letter to the judge, claiming he had evidence that Lively (via her lawyers to Swift’s lawyers) threatened to release incriminating text messages if Swift didn’t offer a public show of support after the Super Bowl.

Lively’s lawyers have called this claim “completely false,” but the Daily Mail later wrote that Scott Swift, Taylor’s father, was Freedman’s source of information, sharing the story in order to get his daughter out of testifying. 

(It worked. Freedman is no longer subpoenaing Swift to testify in the case).

But the friendship damage was done. Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, unfollowed Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram and the two friends no longer communicate as Swift has turned to her tried, trusted and true crew during this time.

Meanwhile, Swift has flown back to Florida to be with Kelce as he prepares for the upcoming NFL season.
