(NewsNation) — A charge was dropped against Tarek El Moussa after the HGTV personality completed “impulse control counseling” following a fight earlier this year, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

El Moussa was cited for misdemeanor battery after a physical altercation June 6 in Las Vegas, where he pushed and struck a man after the person allegedly hit El Moussa’s father in the back of the head, according to Fox 5 Vegas.

The victim told the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department they wanted to press charges against El Moussa after he “approached him aggressively” and attacked him.

Police reportedly noted that the man, whose name was redacted from the report, suffered bruising under his right eye and a cut on his nose bridge.

The case was closed with prejudice and cannot be refiled in the future.

The “Flip or Flop” star’s lawyer, David Chesnoff, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that they were happy the case was dismissed “after a thorough investigation had been conducted.”
