(NewsNation) — It’s the end of the year, and millions of music lovers are anxiously waiting to see their top artists, songs, genres and podcasts for the year as determined by 2025 Spotify Wrapped.
Spotify hasn’t shared an exact release date yet, but Wrapped typically arrives around this time each year.
When has Spotify released past Wrapped data?
- 2024: December 4
- 2023: November 29
- 2022: November 30
- 2021: December 1
- 2020: December 1
- 2019: December 5
Spotify changes Wrapped tracking stats
Previously, Spotify stopped tracking users’ listening habits on Oct. 31 of each year, according to Newsweek, meaning that listeners who played their favorite artists and songs would not have that listening data counted for the year.

However, the company changed its policy and now allows listening data from November and December to be included in its Spotify Wrapped.
How to access Spotify Wrapped
To access their 2025 Wrapped, Spotify users must first update their mobile app.
Once released, users should see a notification about their 2025 Spotify Wrapped when they open the app.
Over the years, Spotify has added features to Wrapped, including “editorial, personalized playlists as well as global top lists that celebrate how hundreds of millions of fans worldwide listened throughout the year,” according to the company.
