(NewsNation) — English comedian and actor Russell Brand is facing more charges of sexual assault and rape.
The new charges include one count of rape and one count of sexual assault. That brings the total number of accusers saying they were assaulted by Brand to six.
Brand was previously charged with two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault from earlier this year.
Brand, 50, has pleaded not guilty to the earlier charges.
The comic has also styled himself as a wellness expert and conservative voice, recently appearing at a Turning Point USA event.
An investigation by a U.K. news program and The Sunday Times newspaper gathered testimony from multiple women who said that between 1999 and 2005, Brand engaged in a pattern of predatory behavior.
Between 2006 and 2008, Brand received five complaints of sexual misconduct and unprofessional behavior while working at the BBC.
A former girlfriend also said Brand sexually assaulted her and physically and emotionally abused her during their relationship.
Brand is expected to appear in court on Jan. 20, 2026, regarding the two additional charges. His trial for the original charges is currently set to begin on June 16, 2026.
Investigators say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the case or those affected should contact the investigators at CIT@met.police.uk.
