CHICAGO (WGN) — A live interview between the anchors of NewsNation affiliate WGN and a legend of the “Real Housewives” franchise took a shift as dramatic as one of the show’s disastrous dinner parties.

Teresa Giudice, best known for Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” joined Nexstar’s WGN Morning News on Friday to discuss her “Party with a Housewife: Teresa Giudice” tour, which will visit the Chicago area later this month. But the interview came to an abrupt end after one question didn’t go over well.

WGN Morning News anchor Larry Potash made a joke to Giudice about her 2014 conviction for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud, charges which her ex-husband Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice was also convicted.

“Okay, I’m hanging up, this is… Okay, let’s just hang up, that’s it,” Giudice can be heard saying as the camera spins into portrait mode before going dark.

To a silent studio Potash quipped: “Wasn’t that part of the show [“Real Housewives]?”

Co-anchor Robin Baumgarten explained to Potash that Giudice, 53, and current husband Luis Ruelas were also recently hit with a dual tax liens. The couple owe over $3 million, as both People and E! report.

While there’s been little news about the case lately, Giudice’s daughter, Gia, said on her podcast in March: “Like, I can’t stress enough how much my mom has worked. Everything will be resolved.”
