(NewsNation) — The California mansion used as the backdrop for Prince Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary is struggling to sell since it went on the market four years ago.

The Montecito, California, home is on the market for $30 million after a $3.5 million price cut, according to Realtor.com.

The home was taken on and off the market multiple times since August 2021, when it was first listed.

In November 2021, it was removed from the market but reappeared in March 2022, months before the docuseries “Harry & Meghan” premiered on Netflix.

Meghan, Prince Harry did not live in mansion

“Harry & Meghan” followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they provided details on how they met and their eventual retreat as working royals.

Prince Harry and Meghan used the house to film the sit-down interviews, but did not live at the mansion, according to Realtor.com. The pair reportedly lives at home nearby.

The 13,600 square foot, six-bedroom Spanish-style home boasts a gym, theater, bar, game room, pool and guesthouse, which were featured in the series.

“Harry and Meghan did (their Netflix show) there, and I got bombarded by every newspaper in the world,” Ryan Malmsten, the home’s co-listing agent, told SF Gate. “It was supposed to be hush-hush, and then the Daily Mail got wind of it, and it went ballistic.”

Malmsten added, “We’ve come close on several occasions to selling it. For whatever reason, that particular buyer chose something else.”
