Prince Harry’s speech at Canadian conference didn’t even sell out: Source

(NewsNation) — Prince Harry tried his hand at podcasting, television producing — failing at both — and has now sunk to giving speeches at Canadian real estate conferences.

Sadly, for Harry, I’m told that it didn’t pan out so well as the conference he headlined wasn’t even sold out.

On Monday, Harry traveled to the Toronto Hilton to give a speech at the OREA Powerhouse Conference — a pay-to-play gathering where participants debated Ontario housing policy, zoning permissions and the intricacies of local supply shortages.

Gripping stuff, right?

Sadly, I’m told, the power of the prince’s name didn’t help sell tickets (which went on sale to the public for $500 CAN), as the event was not full to bursting.

”It was… not sold out,” one source told me.

Prince Harry’s six to seven-figure speaking fees

Not that it matters to Harry who would have collected his seven-figure speaking fee regardless. Both Harry and Meghan are said to command anywhere between $750,000 – $1 million per event… although I’m also told Harry could have had the pot sweetened for this gig by as much as $2 million.

It’s sad but not surprising that Harry’s name doesn’t hold as much sway in Canada as he’d hoped.

Although he spent the day before Remembrance Weekend in the Commonwealth country this year, he left to spend the actual Remembrance Day in California, attending Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bacchanal at Jeff and Lauren Bezos’ $65 million manse.

Has Prince Harry angered Canadians?

Canucks are also salty at the Prince as they opened their arms to him and his wife Meghan after Brexit — only for the couple to abandon Canada for the glitzier climes of Montecito, California.

The country was also taken aback during the World Series when Harry showed up in the LA Dodgers owner’s seats wearing a Dodgers hat, not a Toronto Blue Jays hat, despite his family being the country’s head of state — something he later apologized for.

Either way, it’s all a bit of a comedown for the prince who now has to sing for his supper to make ends meet. His dreams of devoting his life to charity have taken a bit of a stumble this year — as he left his beloved Sentebale charity after a row with the new chairwoman; Africa Parks, where he was on the board, was hit with a rape scandal in the Congo; and his and Meghan’s personal charity, Archewell,  was found to have donated to a charity run by an anti-Israel activist.

His attempts at producing TV shows fell flat after his Netflix series, “Polo,” bombed, and so now the ginger haired former royal is reduced to taking cash for speeches.

Particularly galling to Canadians was the fact that Harry was at an event about housing and the intricacies of public policy — something he knows nothing about.

I can’t wait to see where he may turn up next year!

A rep for Harry didn’t return emails.
