(NewsNation) — Pedro Pascal is having a moment.

The actor is on everyone’s watch list, every woman in Hollywood is vying to date him, and studios are lining up to work with him … so what could possibly go wrong?

”He seems to be in sort of a money grab,” one Hollywood insider said. “He’s everywhere right now — and nothing is very good. He is the type of actor who could — and should — have longevity as a major male actor like a George Clooney or a Brad Pitt but whoever is advising him is watering down his career with just bad projects.”

This year alone, Pascal starred in “Materialists” alongside Dakota Johnson (a movie the Times of London called “the biggest disappointment of the decade”), “Fantastic Four: First Steps” (which while it got an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, was a bland movie) and two other smaller movies, “Eddington” and “AirPods.”

“After ‘The Last of Us,’ Pedro should be looking at better scripts, not just superhero action things or smarmy romcoms,” my insider, who has helped shape many a successful actor’s career, said. “He has Oscar-worthy talent … unless it’s just a money grab.”

Next year, Pascal has another “Avengers” movie and a “Star Wars” film set for release.
