(NewsNation) — Orlando Bloom is finally speaking about his breakup with singer Katy Perry.
In an interview with “The Today Show’s” Craig Melvin on Friday, Bloom said he was doing “great” after the couple called off their engagement in July.
“I’m so grateful. We’ve got a beautiful daughter. You know when you leave everything on the field like I did in this movie, I feel grateful for all of it,” the actor told Melvin, according to E! News.
On Perry he said, “We’re gonna be great,” and “It’s nothing but love” between them.

The exes were together for nine years, before announcing their split in July. They share a daughter, 5-year-old Daisy Dove.
Rumors swirled for weeks in June that the couple’s relationship was nearing its end, with Us Weekly reported that Perry and Bloom were growing apart, and Page Six said the couple were “on the rocks.”
“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” a rep told E! News on July 3, announcing the breakup. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Katy Perry post-Orlando Bloom breakup
While “The Pirates of the Caribbean” actor hasn’t been publicly linked to anyone since breaking up, Perry was seen going on a date with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The “Harleys in Hawaii” singer and Trudeau were spotted together having dinner at a high-end restaurant in Montreal in July, according to The Hill.
Trudeau was also seen in the front row of Perry’s “Lifetimes Tour” in Montreal.
However, a source told People Magazine that Perry “isn’t looking to date right now” following another source telling the outlet the former “American Idol” judge and Trudeau didn’t have plans to continue dating after being spotted.
