Netflix actor Tony Germano dies following fall in Brazil

(NewsNation) — Actor Tony Germano, who’s appeared on Netflix and Nickelodeon projects, died Wednesday after he fell in Brazil. He was 55.

“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 26,” Germano’s representative told People magazine. “Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries.”

The rep added, “We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt.”

The fall occurred at his home in São Paulo.

Germano provided dubbed Portuguese voice work for Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky” and “Dicky & Dawn” as well as Netflix’s “Go, Dog, Go!” He’s also worked with Disney, appearing on the soundtrack of 2017’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.”
