NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 26-year-old was arrested in downtown Nashville Wednesday after a bomb threat was made against Morgan Wallen’s bar.

Officers were called to Morgan Wallen’s This Bar on Fourth Avenue North Wednesday night.

According to court documents, bar security received a note on a receipt, which read: “I have a bomb!! Don’t be a hero SYBAU.”

Security then cleared bar but did not find anything unusual at the bar.

Officers were advised 26-year-old Reginald Smith had left Morgan Wallen’s and was at another bar on Broadway. Smith told officers he wrote the note as a joke and didn’t mean anything behind it, according to Metro police.

Metro said the threat pulled three officers off of patrol and threatened customers and employees. Smith was booked into the Metro jail and was charged with felony false reporting of an emergency. His bond was set at $15,000.
