(NewsNation) — The holiday season is getting off to a sad start for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
While she just dropped her preview for the “With Love, Meghan” Christmas special on her personal Instagram, and the Insta for As Ever is loaded with product-placing holiday videos, Netflix will not be including any of her honeys, jams or wines in its physical pop-up Holiday shops.
According to Tom Sykes, who runs The Royalist Substack, Meghan’s wares are absent from Netflix shops in Dallas and Pennsylvania.
A rep for the Sussexes spun the slight as “no big deal, saying that the plan for As Ever had always been that it would be an online offering,” but it raised eyebrows in the industry as Netflix is the engine behind As Ever — and one would think they would try and capitalize on it as much as possible … unless of course they are indeed “Done” with the erstwhile royals as I exclusively reported in the beginning of this year.
The latest crop of products — sage honey, a sparkling “champenoise” and more jams — have yet to sell out.
