Sling TV to offer single-day, weekend and weeklong streaming

  • Sling TV will now offer short-term streaming options
  • It will cost $4.99 for a day, $9.99 for the weekend and $14.99 for the week
  • There will be an option to add extra channels to the short-term deals

(NewsNation) — Sling TV is introducing a never-before-seen way to stream television without a long-term commitment.

Sling announced Aug. 12 it will now offer short-term streaming options, including a $4.99 Day Pass, $9.99 Weekend Pass and $14.99 Week Pass.

The passes will provide access to popular channels like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT, A&E, TBS, Disney Channel, Comedy Central, History Channel, CNN and more.

Consumers will also be able to add extra channels to the short-term deals with Sling Extras.

Current Sling Extra packages include: Sports Extra, News Extra, Entertainment Extra, Hollywood Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra and Kids Extra.

The Sling Extras will cost an additional $1 for a Day Pass, $2 for a Weekend Pass and $3 for a Week Pass.

“Built for the way people actually watch TV today, our new passes put viewers in control,” said Seth Van Sickel, a senior vice president at Sling TV.
