The Emmy-award winning actor from “The West Wing,” Martin Sheen, is back on the small screen. Sheen has stepped into a recurring role in Season 2 of The CW’s “Wild Cards.”

“Wild Cards” follows an unlikely duo solving crimes: a con woman with a record, played by Vanessa Morgan, and a recently demoted by-the-book-cop, Cole Ellis.

In the season, Sheen plays Joseph Edwards, who is described as “the greatest con man of all time.” Sheen’s character has deep connections to another familiar face, Jason Priestley from “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Other big guest stars are lined up this season, including Kyle Richards from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and Katie Findlay from “How to Get Away with Murder.”

“Wild Cards” airs on The CW Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET
