(NewsNation) — A second person was hospitalized in critical condition following the same incident in which “The Cosby Show” star Malcolm-Jamal Warner drowned.
Warner and the man, who has not been publicly identified, were both pulled from the water after a “water-related” incident at Playa Cocles in Limón, Costa Rica, according to the Costa Rican Red Cross, as reported by People magazine.
Warner was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person, a 35-year-old man, was taken to a local clinic in Limón, a spokesperson for the Costa Rican Red Cross told Us Weekly.
Warner, 54, drowned after being caught in a current while on vacation with his family on July 20. He is best known for his fictional portrayal of Bill Cosby’s son, Theodore “Theo” Huxtable in “The Cosby Show.”
