(NewsNation) — Lady Gaga fans were left frustrated as they scrambled to get tickets to the singer’s highly anticipated Mayhem Ball tour.
Tickets for the tour went on sale this week across multiple platforms, and some fans were not happy about the prices listed on Ticketmaster’s website.
Ticketmaster has been using dynamic pricing, which allows companies to raise ticket prices based on demand, bots, fraudsters and resellers.
Lady Gaga’s new album ‘Mayhem’
At the beginning of March, Lady Gaga released a new album called “Mayhem.” This follows the “Harlequin” album from 2024, which was a jazz-inspired companion album for the movie “Joker: Folie à Deux,” according to The Associated Press.
On her new album, which has 14 tracks, Gaga said, “I reclaimed myself as an artist.” Her songs on “Mayhem” have been received well by fans, with her Bruno Mars collaboration, “Die With a Smile,” spending five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
That song also won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammys, where she performed with Bruno Mars. She is set to headline Coachella and perform a free concert in May on Copacabana Beach.
In an Instagram post, Gaga said she was inspired to tour this year after “the incredible response to the new album.” She also said, “We chose arenas this time to give me the opportunity to control the details of the show in a way you simply can’t in stadiums—and honestly, I can’t wait.”

- Aug. 27: Madison Square Garden in NYC

Lady Gaga’s fans frustrated at ticket pricing
One fan on X posted a screenshot of prices for Lady Gaga’s Aug. 23 Madison Square Garden performance in New York, where tickets went up to $1,770 without additional fees. They called the pricing range “disgusting.”
Another fan posted on Reddit saying they saw dynamic pricing happen in real time with the singer’s Seattle performance, where standard seats in the second row of the venue were $500 higher than the premium VIP package seats.
Fans are also posting on TikTok, with one saying, “I’m sorry, $600 for 200 level is CRIMINAL?”
Another fan on X wrote, “Lady Gaga really said how bad do you want me with these ticket prices,” with a screenshot of ticket prices in section C3.
Taylor Swift, Beyonce tickets were also high
Lady Gaga isn’t the only singer whose ticket sales have been subject to high prices. In 2023, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour tickets ranged from $11,000 to $22,500, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Tickets for Beyonce’s Renaissance tour ended up costing some fans tens of thousands of dollars as well, even before additional fees.
