(NewsNation) — Actor Kevin Spacey said he’s homeless following his Hollywood exile stemming from sexual assault allegations.

Spacey told The Telegraph that he’s living in hotels and Airbnbs after his $5.6 million Baltimore home was auctioned off in 2024, saying that he lost his house “because the costs over these last seven years have been astronomical.”

“I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out,” he said.

“You get through it. In weird ways, I feel I’m back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was,” he told the outlet. “Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again.”

“I literally have no home,” he said.

Kevin Spacey accused of sexual assault

Spacey was one of multiple high-profile men accused of sexual harassment, assault and other types of sexual misconduct during the height of the “Me Too” moment.

Broadway actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of molesting him in 1986 when he was 14 years old.

In 2022, after Rapp sued him for $40 million in a civil case, a London jury found Spacey not liable.

Spacey was also acquitted by a London jury in 2023 after four men accused him of sexual assault between 2004 and 2013, when he was the artistic director at the Old Vic theater in London.

Kevin Spacey: A Hollywood pariah?

Spacey said he has had trouble finding work in Hollywood since the allegations emerged.

He was fired from the hit Netflix series “House of Cards” in November 2017 after reports alleged he groped another actor on set. Netflix also shelved a Gore Vidal biopic starring Spacey.

His scenes in 2017’s “All the Money in the World” were reshot after he was replaced by Christopher Plummer.

Spacey reportedly also filmed “1780,” a historical thriller set during the Revolutionary War, which was initially scheduled for release this year.

In an interview last year with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Spacey said “honest journalism” was needed for his redemption. “I have to work very hard at rebuilding the trust that some may have lost in me. … I have, in fact, listened. I am ready to move forward. … I want to prove that I’m a man of great character. The responsibility for that is mine.”

Spacey has denied committing any crimes and admitted he struggled to return to work after being acquitted of criminal charges in London last year.
