(NewsNation) — Natasha Archer, a longtime aide who served as Princess Kate’s stylist and executive personal assistant, is stepping away from her role at Kensington Palace to launch her own consultancy, according to reports.

Archer has been one of the most trusted figures in Kate and William’s circle for more than a decade, known for her discreet presence and influence, especially during Kate’s recent cancer battle. Her departure marks the exit of one of the few remaining senior staffers to bridge both the pre- and post- “Megxit” eras of the royal family.

Potential royal reconciliation between Harry, Meghan and Charles

This comes as royal insiders say there’s been renewed interest in mending ties between the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Representatives from King Charles’ and Prince Harry’s camps were allegedly spotted at an exclusive London club recently, sparking speculation that private conversations are happening behind the scenes.

One source told NewsNation’s Paula Froelich that Meghan may be facilitating peace talks between her husband and the King.

A close insider told Froelich: “(Meghan) realizes she miscalculated when she orchestrated Megxit and then basically smeared the Royal family in the Oprah Winfrey interview and the Netflix docuseries.”

Prince Harry’s upcoming Invictus Games will return to the UK

The timing is worth mentioning as it’s been announced that Prince Harry’s Invictus Games will return to the U.K. in 2027, providing a built-in reason for him to spend more time there. The dubbed “Olympics for wounded warriors” event is slated to be held in Birmingham, U.K., having previously been supported and attended by high-ranking members of the royal family, including King Charles.

Health scares and shifting royal duties

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan have been based in California and publicly criticized their treatment by royal family members. Since then, both King Charles and Princess Kate have undergone treatment for their respective cancer diagnoses. Royal observers note that Archer’s departure may not just be a career pivot; it could also symbolize a broader reorganization as the monarchy prepares for a new chapter.

Meanwhile, Markle remains focused on projects in the U.S., including new ventures with Netflix. But her absence from the U.K. hasn’t stopped reconciliation rumors from gaining traction.
