(NewsNation) — Friends of Jennifer Lopez (the few who are not on her payroll) are concerned for the multihyphenate dancer/singer/actress, especially after her appearance at awards show parties last weekend.
Her gaunt appearance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, where she was presented with the Legend and Groundbreaker Award at the brunch ceremony, shocked people, and while she looked better that evening at the Amazon MGM Studios x Vanity Fair party dressed all in white, her friend sighed to me: “She wasn’t nominated for (a Golden Globe) so why is she going to these parties? She needs to just stay home for a long while. It’s getting ridiculous.”
Despite being panned for “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” and the ensuing doc “This Is Me… Now”, Lopez’s performance in “Unstoppable” was lauded — even though it bombed at the box office, making only $5,000 on its opening weekend.
”Seriously — every day there is another ‘sexy’ photo on Instagram, she’s still ‘mysteriously’ photographed everywhere she goes, including at a random store in Aspen next to Kevin Costner… which people then used to try and allude that she was dating (Costner). It’s just getting silly. No one else — including far more famous people than her, are being photographed like this,” the source said.
“She doesn’t get it. She showed everyone everything this year with her ridiculous movies and album… and the fans, everyone rejected it. She needs to just go away for a bit, fire anyone who told her these projects were a good idea, and maybe get a real therapist — not Fat Joe (who played her therapist in ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’).”
Jennifer Lopez’s team drops another ‘exclusive’
Meanwhile, Lopez’s team thinks differently — as they dropped yet another “exclusive” to People magazine, claiming Lopez, “who is in a really good place,” just wants to “close the door” on her marriage to Ben Affleck.
“The fairy tale she was promised turned out to be a nightmare in the end,” a source told People on Tuesday.
My source added, “No one promised her a fairy tale except herself.”
