(NewsNation) — Jennifer Lopez is in a pickle.
The actress’s latest movie, “Kiss of the Spiderwoman,” bombed at the box office last weekend, bringing in less than $2 million on a film that cost $30 million to make — the latest project of hers to tank.
Since 2022, Lopez hasn’t had a hit either at the box office or on the charts. Her film “Atlas” was raked over the coals as was her “This is Me… Now” documentary and the accompanying movie, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
Her album, “This is Me… Now,” also tanked, and a subsequent planned tour to promote the album was quashed — even after she changed it to a “Greatest Hits” tour.
Jennifer Lopez pinned comeback hopes on ‘Kiss of the Spiderwoman’
Lopez was relegated to touring in Eastern Europe, visiting places like Kazakhstan and hotels in Egypt this summer, and had put all her hopes into “Kiss of the Spiderwoman” to ignite a comeback… which would lead to ticket sales for her “residency” in Las Vegas this winter.
Sadly, nothing seems to be working. And clips of Lopez singing to a small crowd at her home are being widely mocked online — as well as her claim that her voice is more suited to Broadway a cappella than perhaps concerts.

”Jennifer Lopez is a delusional chaos demon,” said adivunsolicited on Instagram — just one of the many people using the “d” word to describe her online.
Lopez is ‘depressed’ after box office bomb: insider
”She’s deeply depressed,” my insider tells me. “It’s like she can’t do anything right right now. She will put on a gown and smile on the outside, but it’s very upsetting to her personally that her career has just… stalled.”
But another Hollywood insider sniped, “Maybe she should stay home for a hot minute. Maybe get better advisors and not just be surrounded by sycophants.”
As for her Las Vegas dates — tickets are still available.
