(NewsNation) — Who knew No Doubt would be such a hit?
The 00s band booked several weeks at the Sphere in Las Vegas in May and June — and tickets are selling fast… and they’re not cheap. Most of the ticket pricing starts at $349 a ticket — before taxes and fees (which bring tickets closer to $500 a pop) — and the band’s front woman, Gwen Stefani, is reaping the benefits.
I’m hearing her manager, Irving Azoff, scored Stefani and the band a whopping $1.75 million to $2 million guarantee per gig… with Stefani getting the bulk of that.
”Gwen gets $1 million per gig, and the band splits the rest,” my insider added.
But because of this guarantee, even if most of the shows sold out, the insider adds, “It’s going to be hard for the Sphere to break even on the shows after the guarantees.”
The Sphere is an expensive venue — every show has to have a digitized production for the screens, which costs millions.
Reps for Stefani and the Sphere didn’t return emails.
