(NewsNation) — The Golden Globes are on Sunday, and all eyes are on who will take away the biggest awards of the night.
While the night will be competitive, actors in the best acting categories for movies won’t all face off against one another, since the Golden Globes separates films into best drama and best musical/comedy.
Oddsmakers have placed bets on who’s taking home a Golden Globe, and it looks like it will be a good night for Timothée Chalamet and Wagner Moura, according to online prediction market operator Kalshi.
Timothée Chalamet in lead
Chalamet has a 73% of winning the Golden Globe for best actor in a motion picture for a musical/comedy for his portrayal of American table tennis champion Marty Reisman in “Marty Supreme,” Kalshi data shows.
The actor is fresh off his best actor win at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Jan. 4.
Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio comes in behind Chalamet for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s dark comedy “One Battle After Another,” with 11% of bettors thinking he’ll take home a Golden Globe.
Wagner Moura leading in drama race
Moura is leading the race for best actor in a motion picture drama for his role in “The Secret Agent,” with 74% of oddsmakers thinking he will take home the award.
Michael B. Jordan comes in second place with 20% for his role in “Sinners,” Kalshi data shows.
