(NewsNation) — McDonald’s will transport customers to the mythical realm of McDonaldland this summer with an all-new meal launching Aug. 12, according to a press release.

The McDonaldland meal includes a choice of either a Quarter Pounder or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries and a mystery-flavor Mt. McDonaldland milkshake. Each meal also comes with one of six collectible tins featuring postcards and stickers inspired by McDonaldland characters.

McDonaldland, the mythical home of McDonald’s beloved mascots, was introduced in 1971 and spawned decades of merchandise, advertisements and more. However, the use of McDonaldland in advertising was largely discontinued over 20 years ago.

McDonald’s is also reviving its iconic McDonaldland cast of characters, including Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese and the Fry Friends.

“Over the past few years we’ve seen how fans flock to our characters, everyone from Grimace to the Hamburglar. But many, especially the new generation, don’t know that’s just the tip of the iceberg,” said Jennifer “JJ” Healan, McDonald’s VP, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture.

The announcement also includes collaborations with clothing brand Pacsun and luggage brand Away.
