“E! News,” the late-night celebrity news show that helped define entertainment journalism for more than three decades, is coming to an end.

The half-hour show, which airs at 11:30 p.m. and is currently hosted by Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester, will conclude on Sept. 25, according to multiple entertainment outlets.

Staff were informed of the decision Thursday morning.

The cancellation marks the first major programming decision from Versant, the newly established company overseeing E! and other former NBCUniversal cable networks.

Although the television program is ending, the “E! News” digital brand will remain active, with continued emphasis on its social media presence.

This marks the second time “E! News” has been canceled. The show was first taken off the air in 2020 before making a two-year comeback.

Other entertainment-focused programs, such as “Access Hollywood,” “Access Daily,” “Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind,” and “Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour,” are expected to continue.
