(NewsNation) — Dolly Parton will return to Las Vegas after 32 years for a limited residency at Caesars Palace.
Parton, 79, wrote on Instagram, “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas is calling! I’m taking over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, a limited-run engagement…”
“To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” Parton said in a news release. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars, and I hope you are as well. See you there!”
Tickets for Dolly Parton’s Las Vegas residency sold out in a few hours
Parton’s residency will run on select dates from Dec. 4 through Dec. 13. As of June 25, tickets for all six shows are already listed as sold out on Ticketmaster.
However, you can still check Ticketmaster’s website to get verified reseller tickets. Those will most likely cost more than the tickets did when the tickets became available. Four different packages were available for purchase, as well as a “collector ticket.”
One of the packages included the “Dolly Forever VIP package,” which gave fans access to the pre-show reception in Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, as well as the Las Vegas VIP Gift Set and early access to purchase merchandise.
Dolly Parton’s last tour was nearly 10 years ago
Parton hasn’t toured since she completed her “Pure & Simple” tour in 2016.
But it’s been even longer since she had a Las Vegas residency. Rolling Stone reported that Parton last performed at the Riviera Hotel in the early 1980s and the Mirage Hotel in 1993, both of which have since closed.
Parton spoke about her time performing in her 1980s shows, telling the Tennessean in 2022, “I had a great time staying in some of the world’s best hotels, eating free food, and trying to not order so much room service as a way to pass the time between my shows.”
