(NewsNation) — David Harbour has dropped out of Tony Gilroy’s upcoming movie, a week after his hit Netflix series came to an end.

Harbour was set to star alongside Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde in director Tony Gilroy’s “Behemoth!” according to Variety.

The “Thunderbolts*” star allegedly felt overwhelmed after “Stranger Things” began its final season rollout, as well as intense scrutiny from the press, sources told Variety. He stepped back from filming the movie to rest.

Harbour was replaced by Will Arnett, fresh off his starring role in “Is This Thing On!,” Variety reported.

Harbour’s decision comes amid headlines about his personal and professional life.

Lily Allen alleges David Harbour had affair

In October, singer Lily Allen released her album “West End Girl,” in which she accused Harbour of having an affair, leading to the demise of their relationship.

Allen and Harbour split up in December 2024 after four years of marriage.

Allen said she agreed to Harbour’s request for an open marriage if it was discreet and with sex workers, according to the Daily Mail. However, she accused the “Gran Turismo” star of lying about wanting an open marriage to cheat on her.

He admitted to Esquire Spain that he’s made “mistakes” in his life personally and professionally.

“You either accept your path completely and realize that even the pain and the slip-ups and the mistakes are all part of the journey, and that there’s truth and growth, wisdom and deeper empathy and connection in all that,” Harbour told the publication.

Millie Bobby Brown says David Harbour was a bully

Prior to the filming of the last season of “Stranger Things,” Millie Bobby Brown formally lodged a complaint against Harbour, claiming harassment and bullying.

A representative for the “Enola Holmes” star was on set for the fifth season of the Netflix series. Season 5 of “Stranger Things” wrapped filming at the end of 2024.

Brown’s claims against Harbour did not include sexual harassment allegations.

Despite the claim, Harbour and Brown both praised each other in November at the Los Angeles premiere of the fifth season of the Netflix series.
