(NewsNation) — Dave Franco said he’s heard his fans’ pleas to play Luigi Mangione in a movie, and he’s “open” to the idea.

The actor was on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” Tuesday night when he said that the demand for him to play Mangione has been high but that no one’s reached out to him to play him.

“No one has approached me about it yet, I’ll say that,” Franco, 40, told Andy Cohen. “This is something that more people in my life reached out about this exact thing than anything else that has ever happened.”

Franco, who is on a promotional tour alongside his wife Alison Brie for their movie “Together,” said he’d play Mangione in a film but that it would have to be the right project.

Mangione, 27, has been indicted on federal and state charges, including murder, terrorism and stalking for the December 2024 killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside the Hilton Hotel in New York City. He’s pleaded not guilty.
